Dance does not necessarily reduce falls even if it can reduce some of the risk factors for falls – review of evidence from the Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit
The PhISICAL Activity Intervention in Community-based AduLts (PhISICAL) Study
The aim of the PhISICAL study is to examine the implementation of FaME in two very different areas of the East Midlands in order to understand the factors that make such a programme a success or not. You can find out more about this work, led by Nottingham University and funded by the Better Care Fund and CLAHRC East Midlands here. The full protocol is now published and can be viewed here.
The study runs from September 2015 – August 2018 and is led by Dr Elizabeth Orton. The results will inform an ‘Implementation Manual’ for Commissioners of services.
